Application Process

Fill out the online application and submit the non-refundable $100 application fee. This is the first step to formally apply. Once your application is completed you will receive instructions how to access your application checklist via the myBrowne portal.

Once your application is complete, you will be able to schedule a private tour in your application checklist found on the myBrowne portal.

  • Schedule your child’s visit and assessment through the myBrowne portal.

  • Visit windows: Last two weeks of January and the first week of February (dates vary by grade and availability).

  • Preschool–Kindergarten: One-hour playdate visit.

  • Grades 1–8: Full-day visit with age-appropriate classroom participation.

  • During visits, candidates will also complete reading, writing, and math readiness assessments

  • Preschool-Kindergarten
    • Recommendation from a current teacher is requested if applicable
  • 1st-5th Grade
    • Recommendations from primary classroom teacher(s)
    • School Transcripts from previous 2 years 
  • 6th-8th Grade
    • Recommendations from both this year and last year’s English teachers and Math teachers
    • School Transcripts from previous 2 years

 

  • Kindergarten-2nd Grade
    • Browne Academy requires admissions testing for applicants to Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade who are not currently enrolled in an accredited preschool or elementary program at the time of application.

      • Students ages five and under are asked to complete the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI-IV).

      • Students six years and older are asked to complete the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V).

      This assessment helps us understand each child’s readiness for our program and ensures that we can support their learning needs effectively.

  • 3rd-8th Grade
    • Upload any standardized tests (SOL, SSAT, ISEE, etc.) taken in the past 1-2 years
    • Math and language arts assessment will be administered during scheduled candidate visits

*If your child has received an IEP, 504 or psychoeducational testing, they must be submitted  as part of your application process.

 

  • All students enrolled in Preschool must be toilet trained before the start of school in September.
  • Browne Academy has specific age requirements for applicants to Preschool, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Students must turn 3 (Preschool), 4 (Junior Kindergarten), or 5 (Kindergarten) by September 30 of the year they plan to enroll.

  • Enrollment Office begins scheduling applicant checklist requirements (tours, visits, etc.) for the 2026-2027 School Year

January 1, 2026

  • Tuition and Fees updated on our website for the upcoming school year (2026-2027)

January 23, 2026

  • Re-enrollment contracts sent to current families (Due February 6)

February 1, 2026

  • Admission Checklist must be completed with supporting documents
  • Financial Aid Applications due with supporting documents

February 27, 2026

  • Admission Decisions & Enrollment Contracts sent

March 13, 2026

  • Enrollment Contracts due
