Students sort canned food

Martin Luther King, Jr., Day is a time to engage with your community and act on Dr. King’s legacy of social justice. Today Browne students participated in a school-wide day of service. The day kicked off with a all-school assembly, with student performances and guest speaker Robert Banez, founder and CEO of the PUSO Foundation. Following the assembly, students partnered with their buddies to help with food collection for Alive!, a nonprofit organization improving lives for people in Alexandria. Later in the day, middle school students made blankets to benefit Project Linus, which provides blankets to children in need. Browne’s day of service truly demonstrated our core value of Community.
