At Browne Academy, we warmly welcome and extend our full support to our military students and their families hailing from Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, the U.S. Coast Guard Station, Fort Myers, and other military facilities throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Browne Academy takes immense pride in serving our military-associated families as a recognized Purple Star School.

Our Director of Enrollment Management, Steve Marshall, acts as your primary liaison. He collaborates closely with our school counselor and administrative heads to ensure your child's smooth transition to our school environment, addressing any PCS-related concerns, managing anxieties during periods of a deployed parent's separation, and handling other issues connected to the intersection of military and student life. Call 703-960-3000 to connect with any questions.

We've established a student-led transition team, made up of our dedicated Student Ambassador members, whose main role is to assist military families. They help during open house tours and offer support to visiting students. Furthermore, our Parents Association is vibrant and fully committed to the growth of the Browne Academy community, offering numerous volunteer opportunities and programs aimed at fostering community spirit.

COL Christopher Lettieri and COL Christine Lettieri

“We decided on Browne Academy because it met all of our wants and needs. And, we quickly realized that it exceeded all of our expectations. After 13 years, we are still very happy with our decision and it has truly been wonderful for both our children and our family. We have made great friends and found the community to be extremely cohesive and supportive. Similar to what we do in the Military, they come together to help when families are in need and the community has supported us during our deployments. Friends, community, safety and great academics – it’s hard to ask for much more in a school.”
