Wellness Center & SEL

A New Health Resource for Student Wellbeing
Browne Academy’s Health and Wellness Center is a central part of the school’s commitment to nurturing the whole child—physically, emotionally, and socially. Designed as a welcoming and accessible space, the center provides students with a safe environment where care, comfort, and support are always close at hand. By combining physical health services with social–emotional resources, the center ensures that every student has what they need to stay healthy and ready to learn.
The center is staffed by Director of Health Services Nurse Snow, BSN, RN, and School Counselor Serie Haeseler, LCSW, who work in close partnership with families, teachers, and staff to promote student wellness. Together, they coordinate care plans, monitor student health, and provide early intervention when challenges arise. Their collaborative approach addresses everything from everyday needs like injuries and illnesses to broader concerns such as stress management, social skills, and emotional well-being.
The center also serves as a health and wellness educational and resource center, dedicated to the entire Browne Academy community, including parents, families, faculty and staff. Browne is committed to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB), and the Health and Wellness Center strives to deliver care that preserves and protects the autonomy, dignity, and privacy of all students, families, faculty, and staff.
We designed the center as a safe space on campus to support our students’ healthy development, wellness, and mental health by offering direct access to professional health support and services. The center brings our Browne Academy community together with a shared vision for equity and the healthy development of our students. The center helps keep children healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
